"Shuangling" props up Aizhai Grand Suspension Bridge(Picture)
Jishou-Chadong Highway – Aizhai Grand Suspension Bridge officially opened to traffic on March 31st after 4 years’ intense and arduous constructions. And LY Steel supplied directly over 10,000 tons of ribbed bars, which made great contributions to the suspension bridge with the longest main span worldwide.
Aizhai grand suspension bridge is a key part of the Jicha Highway project, located among high mountains and deep valleys and crossing Dehang Grand Gorge, the very complex topography and geology conditions bringing huge construction challenges. With a main span of 1,176 meters, the steel truss girder suspension bridge has the largest span over gorge all over the world. Jicha Highway and two giant soaring bridge towers of Aizhai suspension bridge use Liangang Shuangling-brand ribbed bars. As the sole supplier for ribbed bars of the highway and bridge, LY Steel supplied total 120,000 tons of ribbed bars. To better satisfy customer’s requirement, the Sales Department of LY Steel formulated supply guarantee plan for assurance in production, quality, price, transportation, services and others, and dispatched personnel to the project site for providing tracking services and assisting in handling with problems incurring during construction.
